Chaoyi Fanhuan Qigong
CFQ is a system which reduces stress and promotes relaxation and wellbeing.
It was discovered and developed by Master Yap Soon-Yeong of Penang, Malaysia.
Sifu Yap is an internationally respected healer and meditation teacher.
CFQ is simple enough that the essential principles can be grasped in minutes and profound enough that the practices can be refined and perfected over years.
The best way to get an idea of the CFQ approach, and to start learning to be happy and well, is to go to a class.
CFQ level one consists of a series of simple, relaxed movements. Think tai chi, only much, much easier. It is suitable for all, and particularly helpful for people who have to spend a lot of time thinking and concentrating and find it hard to switch off afterwards.
There are two weekly classes in Oxford. Both are small and friendly and entirely suitable for beginners, and you can start at any time. For the wheres and whens of classes in Oxford, click here. For a little more detail of what we actually do in class, click here.Sifu Yap's next visit to England will take place in August 2010. Details to follow in February. In the meantime Simon Phipp will be offering one day classes in Oxford on a roughly monthly basis. Next one October 25th, details here. And there are further Level One weekends and days with Kate in October and December, details here

The deep healing and relaxation effects of CFQ occur because the movements, and the principles behind them, have been developed by Master Yap, a remarkable, but agreeably ordinary man who has spent about 65,000 hours in meditation.
There are two books by Chok C.Hiew, PhD, in association with Master Yap, which will serve as a general introduction:
Energy Medicine In CFQ Healing
Energy Meditation, Healing the Body, Freeing the Spirit
CFQ has been used to help survivors of the war in Kosovo and victims of the tsunami, some of whom were enabled to sleep properly for the first time since the disaster. It is also becoming ever more widely used in psychotherapy in Canada. For more information about CFQ in the UK, please see contact list below
